Block Jointing Mortar

Block Jointing Mortar

Energy Block Jointing Mortar stands out as a premier choice, featuring Superbond technology. In contrast to conventional jointing mortar, it offers a more robust, smoother, cost-effective, and water-resistant finish.

KEY FEATURES

Surface Preparation & Precaution

The masonry surface should be clean, free from dust and voids. Pre-wet the blocks before applying Energy Jointing Mortar. When mixing, remember to add Energy Jointing Mortar to water and not the other way around.

Energy Jointing Mortar is composed of eco-friendly fillers and additives, primarily sand and cement. However, due to its alkaline nature, it is recommended to prevent direct contact with the eyes and skin. If contact does occur, promptly wash the affected area with water for a minimum of 15 minutes and seek medical assistance.

Coverage

The coverage of Energy Block Jointing Mortar is approximately 120 to 140 sq.ft. for a block size of 600x200x100mm in a 40 kg bag. However, the actual coverage area will vary based on factors such as the quality and evenness of the substrate, as well as the thickness of the joints.

Application

  • Laying & Joining Blocks.
  • Joining of Concrete Windows and Door Frames etc.

Packaging & Storage

Energy Block Jointing Mortar is packaged in 40 kg bags and possesses a shelf life of 6 months, provided it is stored correctly in a cool, dry location. Given that factors like temperature, humidity, and site-specific conditions may differ, the information provided above should be considered a general guideline.

Water Demand

The amount of water required for a 40 kg bag can vary depending on the substrate and climate, typically ranging from 6 to 7 liters. When applying to concrete blocks, ensure that the wet mortar contains a reduced amount of water to achieve a 2 to 3 mm bed thickness of Energy Block Jointing Mortar.
